Teaching Philosophy
Technical Foundation
We focus on ergonomic posture and efficient mechanics.
By minimizing physical tension, we unlock the full dynamic and potential of the instrument.
Musical Awareness
Technique is a tool for musical expression.
I guide students in basic analysis of harmony, structure, and musical phrases to help them make informed interpretive choices and shape their performance naturally.
Methodical Approach
Every student receives a personalized progression plan.
We integrate applied music theory directly with the repertoire to ensure practical development.
A Student-Centered Approach
My goal is to make progress achievable and meaningful for every student.
Over the years, I’ve supported learners of all ages and backgrounds: one student wanted to learn a piece for his girlfriend’s wedding, and a year later he sent me a video of himself playing it beautifully, creating a deeply personal moment.
Another, one of my first online students, came to me with some basic skills but a great deal of confusion that made real progress difficult. Together we worked to clarify his technique and strengthen his reading skills. One of his biggest dreams was to play Tárrega’s Grand Vals — a piece he deeply loved but found technically and rhythmically overwhelming. Today he can play it confidently, and over the years our work has grown into a lasting friendship that spans the globe.
